DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual VyStar Emerald Trail 5K/10K Run-Walk-Ride presented by JTC Running on Saturday\, September 30\, 2023. \nWe invite runners\, walkers and riders of all ages to join us for a morning of healthy fun and fellowship along the Emerald Trail beginning at 7:30 a.m. \nOnce again\, we’ll begin at the Duval County Courthouse\, but this year’s route will take participants south along the Riverwalk to RAM. 10K participants will also enjoy a scenic run/ride over the new SUP to San Marco. \nOver the last three years\, this event has raised $65\,000 to support Groundwork Jacksonville in our mission to build the 30-mile Emerald Trail\, restore McCoys Creek and Hogans Creek\, and transform Jacksonville’s urban core. \nSponsorship opportunities are still available. DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE  \nThe Sierra Club is teaming up with Groundwork Jacksonville to maintain the southern segment of the S-Line. We’re hosting regular joint clean-up to take care of the trail a 1/2 mile at a time. \nThe point person for the monthly cleanups is Mr. Bill Armstrong (armstrongjax@att.net). Bill is authorized to sign youth community service hours as well. \nWe will provide trash grabbers\, bags\, and sanitary wipes. You will be required to sign a City of Jacksonville liability waiver. \nPlease bring water and gloves (Bill will have a few extra gloves). \nThere are two meeting sites throughout the year and the location is specified in the registration. Register for each cleanup (session) individually or all at once.\n \n(1) Christ Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church –  2429 N. Davis St 32209 DIRECTIONS: Meet in the church parking lot. The trail is to the right of the parking lot. Take I-95 towards UF Health Shands. Exit at 8th Street (353D). Turn right on 8th St into the left turning lane. Turn left onto N. Davis St. Location will be on your right at N.
