McCoys Creek Phase 1

Phase-1-Graphic

Construction of Phase I of the project began in June 2021 including the permanent closure McCoys Creek Boulevard from Cherokee Street to Margaret Street. As part of the project, the King Street Bridge was reconstructed as a wider, longer, higher structure including pedestrian and bicycle lanes. Phase 1 creek restoration is nearly complete, and work will begin on constructing the Emerald Trail along its banks in 2026.
