Celebrate Trails Day
Join Groundwork Jacksonville for Celebrate Trails Day on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the LaVilla Link Butterfly Garden along the Emerald Trail.
This FREE family event, made possible by Baptist Health and the Community Forestry Program of the USDA Forest Service, is a fun opportunity to experience the beauty and community connection of the Emerald Trail.
There will be activities and demonstrations for the whole family to enjoy plus music, food, prizes, giveaways and more!
Don’t miss the first-ever yoga on the LaVilla Pond overlook and a special butterfly release at 1:00 p.m., plus free hotdogs and food sampling while supplies last. Parking is free at nearby lots as shown on the LaVilla Link map.

- Free hotdogs from Standard Feed & Seed from 11a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Sample healthy treats from Kathy’s Table from 11a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Meet artist Overstreet Ducasse at the Park Street Bridge Mural at 11:00 a.m.
- Yoga with the Wellness Reef on the LaVilla Pond Overlook at 11:30 a.m.
- Meet Wolfie the Wolfson Children’s Hospital Mascot at noon
- Special butterfly release at 1:00 p.m.
- Tree talks with our arborist
- Pollinator education with Success Gardening
- Guided Emerald Trail walking tours with Sierra Club Northeast Florida Group
- Bike safety demonstration by THE PLAYERS Center for Child Health at Wolfson Children’s Hospital
- StoryWalk® made possible by Baptist Health and the Library Foundation of Jacksonville
- Music at Lift Ev’ry Voice & Sing Park
